My Story

 Edward Hopgood

BA (Hons) MA, Dip Couns, MBACP

I became a counsellor after spending years in the corporate world. Like many people in demanding careers, I experienced stress and mental health struggles that were hard to manage on my own. It was through my own experience with therapy that I discovered just how powerful and transformative it can be.

Therapy helped me understand why I felt stressed, to manage the pressures I faced and ultimately improve my overall well-being. That experience sparked my desire to help others in similar situations, which led me to train and qualify as a counsellor.

I truly believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support, but I feel especially passionate about making sure men have the opportunity to seek therapy. Too often there’s a stigma that men shouldn’t talk about their emotions or ask for help.

Asking for help is a sign of strength and men, like everyone else, deserve a space where they can feel comfortable and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. I’m here to listen without judgment, to offer support and to walk alongside you on your journey toward better mental health
